The Salcano brand has been producing bicycles in Turkey since 1975. It's expansive range covers Road, MTB, eBikes, Leisure and Kids Bikes.

The GR001 gravel bike has a lot to offer the everyday rider looking to mix up their riding on a machine capable of handling the rough stuff, without handicapping itself much on the tarmac.

The drop handlebar and sporty geometry means you can make good progress on the road –but, with wider tyres, lower gearing and stable handling, you can also head off-road with confidence.

Shimano Sora gearing with a 50/34 chainset and 11-32T cassette ensure the right gear is always at your fingertips whether you are climbing or descending and Shimano mechanical disc brakes enable you to stop in you tracks no matter the surface.

Professional Opinion

Gravel bikes have all the traits of a road bike, but with the capability for off-road riding, which is why these machines can also be referred to as 'Adventure Bikes'.

Usually found with wider tyres and a more off-road tread design, which give you comfort and grip on rough roads, gravel bikes will feel at home on or off-road, so you won't have to limit your terrain options.
